After the success of our annual women’s leadership conferences, members in our community asked to have a conference tailored to Iranian American youth with a focus on professional and personal development. In partnership with the Center for Learning, IAWF launched its first annual Youth Leadership Conference, Life Academy, on July 18-20, 2014 in Orange County, California.

This three-day conference featured panel and workshop discussions focusing on leadership, personal, and career growth for our youth. Following the conference, each participant was assigned a mentor who continued to guide the participant professionally for one year. We truly believe that the best way to give back to our community is to provide the framework and knowledge for a positive career path. IAWF extends our sincerest gratitude to Dr. Shireen Ansari and the Center for Learning for their contributions to the success of the program.
