IAWF Volunteers at PBS So CaL's Iranian American Pledge Night
On Thursday, May 23, dozens of IAWF volunteers took phone calls during PBS So CaL's Iranian American Pledge Night. In addition to our volunteers, a number of prominent Iranian Americans joined us in the studio, including Oscar nominated Iranian American actress Shohreh Aghdashloo, producer and host on 670 am radio Iran Shahrzad Ardalan, Director for Solar System Exploration at NASA Dr. Firouz Naderi, author and award-winning journalist Homa Sarshar, Executive Director of Farhang Foundation Bita Milanian, founder of Shopzilla Farhad Mohit, and IAWF foundation and president Mariam Khosravani, who also serves on the PBS SoCaL Community Advisory Board. Also on hand was director Andrew Goldberg, whose award-winning documentary, The Iranian Americans, was aired that evening.
Whether you served as a volunteer and/or pledged your support to PBS that evening, thank you! And if you missed seeing The Iranian Americans, it is scheduled to air on PBS SoCaL's stations at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. It is also available for purchase through several on-line retail outlets.
