Dr Zarin Azar is a practicing Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at the San Diego area. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston TX. She completed her specialty training in Internal Medicine at the same institution and then moved to California to do her sub specialty in Gastroenterology at UCI (The University of California at Irvine).
She has worked as an attending partner gastroenterologist at Kaiser Permanente for years. Currently she is in private practice in San Diego area with a strong tendency towards holistic and functional medicine promoting natural health and healing through diet and life style improvements.
She has been a member of many medical organizations throughout her carrier. She also is a proud member of Doctor’s without Borders, Physicians for Responsible Medicine ( PCRM), National Health Association (NHA) and The Gerson Cancer treatment Institute. She runs a popular natural health website in Farsi and is engaged in writings and talks addressing functional and life style health and healing.
