Sussan Lari was born in Iran and is a graduate of the University of Tehran’s School of Architecture; she continued her studies in America and graduated from the Urban Design Program of the University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s of Architecture and a Master’s of Planning in 1977. She began her professional career with the Eggers Group P.C., where she was the first woman to be named Vice President, and stayed with them from 1977 to 1990. During those years she fully ran their Architecture and Interior Architecture Design Services and managed large-scale projects for companies including KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, PepsiCo, Exxon Office Systems, as well as universities including West Point Military Academy and Washington University in Saint Louis.

In 1992, Sussan established her own firm- Sussan Lari Architect, PC- an architectural firm dedicated to personalized, high quality architecture and interior architecture. Sussan’s firm has successfully completed more than 70 residential projects in Manhattan, Long Island and New Jersey as well as one major corporate headquarters in Greenwich, Connecticut; two corporate offices in Manhattan; one major foundation’s headquarters in Long Island and three town houses in New York City’s Upper East Side. Sussan was elected President of the Long Island Chapter of the AIA (American Institute of Architects) for the year 2000. Sussan is licensed to practice in the tri-state area.
