Solmaz is a journalist and an entrepreneur. She started the first Iranian women sports magazine, Shirzanan, which ran from 2009 to 2010. She is the founder of New York Persian Center (NYPC) where they publish the first ever New York City’s magazine, Persian Life. They create jobs and promote Persian culture in New York City through brands and events.
She has worked and published in major media outlets such as BBC, CNN, New York Times and many more. She studied Broadcasting and Digital Journalism and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She resides in New York with her family.
