Soheila Azizi passion for justice sparked at a young age when she escaped her birth land in the midst of Iranian Revolution in1979. Having observed gross violations of human right, and religious persecutions committed against her faith community, fortified Ms. Azizi decision to choose the field of legal advocacy for helping the innocent victims of inequity and oppression. Ms. Azizi later expanded her litigation practice to include alternative means to dispute resolution, and mastered her skills in the fields of mediation and arbitration. For the past 30 years, Ms. Azizi has dedicated her professional career and personal life to serving peace, justice and equality in a compassionate and altruistic manner. While her love to be a voice through her law and advocacy skills has been the foundation of her very successful litigation practice, it is her ultimate passion to promote peace, gender and racial equality, which has driven her efforts to initiate and/or to contribute to many public benefit causes, socio-economic projects, humanitarian movements and peace-making initiatives. Ms. Azizi believes that in order to build a peaceful society, all members of our human family must have equal access to basic human rights including food, shelter, education, justice and equal protection of the laws. Understanding, however, that a necessary shift in our society’s attitudes, actions, behavior and culture must occur, Ms. Azizi community building efforts focus on awareness, empowerment, and empathic commitment to action. Ms. Azizi strives to bring about change by serving in the areas of gender equality, race unity, youth and women empowerment, social justice and interfaith relations.
