Simin Kargar is a Fellow at Harvard Law School’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and Program Manager at NetFreedom Pioneers, a nonprofit that strives to extend free flow of information in areas with limited access. She focuses on leveraging new technologies to enhance gender equality, education and justice. To this end, Simin works with underprivileged communities to identify legal, social and technological gaps and opportunities that affect their human rights to education and freedom of expression and information. Driven by creating social impact, Simin and her team have designed and developed several tools that deliver educational resources, legal support and technological solutions to women and marginalized populations.
