Biography

Shahrzad Tavakol is a Persian Opera Singer, artist and a skilled lutheir. She graduated in Fine Arts, specialized in making musical instruments, from Tehran Sooreh University in 2003. Shortly after graduation, she was able to receive the best musical instrument award from 6th National Festival of Musical Instruments in 2004. Shahrzad is known as the first woman making Harp in Iran’s history. After completing her training in Persian traditional music (by Mrs. Fariba Davoodi), she started her classical music career as an opera singer (Soprano) in 2006. She studied voice under the supervision of some of the best well-known teachers such as Mrs. Ariazand, Dr. Scott Farthing, and Mrs. Dubravka Zubovic. Till today she has performed in more than 50 recitals and solo concerts and has received awards from California Music Studios, Dolce Music Academy, and American Prize (Opera competition).
