Born in the US, moved to Iran at age five, lived in Iran up to age 13, and then went to a boarding school in Switzerland to receive her International Baccalaureate from Aiglon College, moved to the US in 1979 to attend university. Roya holds a BA from Macalester College in Political Science and International Affairs.

Roya has over 40 years of experience working in Silicon Valley. She has worked for fortune 500 companies as well as building her own startups.

A serial entrepreneur, she is currently on her third startup, as co-founder of Trendage Inc. a Santa Clara based software company developing a personalized styling web and mobile application, as well as her full time job as the Chief Revenue Officer of Z2Data, a fast growing supply chain software company.
In year 2000 she co-founded SiliconExpert Technologies provider of Supply Chain Component Management solutions and helped lead the company to a successful M&A in 2012, Arrow Electronics acquired SiliconExpert Technologies. She also co-founded Mozaik Multimedia in 2006, a technology company in content interactivity across all digital platforms, she led the company to a successful M&A in 2012; the company was acquired by Rambus Technology.
The vision and technology behind Mozaik Multimedia stemmed from her highly-acclaimed program, Cultures in a Box, an interactive educational program. She received the “Woman of the Year Program” Award from Senator Elaine Alquist for the tremendous positive impact her program offered to schools and communities.

Her prior experiences are with CMP Media, National Semiconductor, Avnet Electronics, and Xerox Corporation.

She mentors students at her alma mater and serves as a panelist on technology and entrepreneurial forums helping shape and cultivate the next big idea.
