Pooneh Ghoddoosi is a seasoned media professional working in international media strategy.

With many years of experience in broadcast journalism, presenting, making documentaries, and editing at the BBC, Pooneh now manages Global Partnerships between the BBC World Service and external funders and philanthropic institutions among which are the Gates and the Nobel Foundations. She looks after a portfolio of nearly 5 million USD of funding secured to design and deliver educational programmes. Pooneh is well-known internationally as one of the BBC’s select group of multilingual presenters. She is also an experienced senior media trainer, editorial leader, coach, and mentor. Before the BBC, she worked with the New York Times, Washington Post, the Boston Globe, PBS, and the Wall Street Journal.
