Dr. Hakimi serves as the chair of Department of psychology at Touro University Los Angeles. Her area of expanded and well received research encompasses cross cultural studies, global leadership, and gender identity among collective cultures. Community philanthropy is her passion and these endeavors include serving as The U.S. Congressional appointee for Latina adolescent suicide prevention program in 32nd district, Los Angeles county Academic council, and past president of Nessah educational and cultural Center the largest Iranian synagogue worldwide.
