Lila is the proud daughter of Iranian immigrants and a dedicated public servant. After graduating from Stanford University, Lila joined Teach For America and taught special education in South Los Angeles. Currently, Lila serves as a District Representative for the California State Senate. She focuses on issues of education, housing, transportation and women’s issues for the Westside cities of Los Angeles and serves as a liaison between the State Senate and community groups, businesses, constituents and local governments. She is skilled in community relations, communications, education, event planning and policy and she leverages these skills to promote justice and equity.
