Biography | Hedieh Fakhriyazdi is the Chief Diversity Officer at White & Case where she is responsible for accelerating the Firm’s diversity and inclusion (D&I) efforts to further build a diverse work environment and nurture a culture of inclusion across their global offices, among clients, and in the broader communities in which the firm operates. Hedieh joined the Firm from another major international law firm as its Director of Social Responsibility and head of its charitable foundation, and previously served as Associate Director of Global Diversity. She also worked at Bloomberg LP, where she lead programs and strategy for a variety of ESG functions, including diversity and inclusion, employee engagement and corporate philanthropy. Prior to Bloomberg, Hedieh worked at the Tahirih Justice Center, a US-based nonprofit organization, providing legal and social services to immigrant survivors of gender based violence. Hedieh began her career as a community organizer in South America. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of New York City where she sits on its Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, and is Chair of the organization’s Community Impact and Public Policy Committee. She also serves on the Women Business Collaborative’s Advisory Council, is a member of the Executive Forum for the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship (BCCCC) at the Boston College Carroll School of Management, is Co-Chair of the BCCCC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Board, and is also Co-Chair of the Iranian American Women’s Foundation New York Chapter. Hedieh serves as Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Service at New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. In 2021, Hedieh received the Innovation Award from the New York Law Journal. She is a frequent speaker and advisor on topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion, corporate social responsibility and ESG. |
