Farifteh Emamghorashi was raised in Tehran, Iran. She completed her B.S. in general psychology and M.Ed in counseling psychology in 1977, from the Central State University in
Edmond, OK. She received a certificate of counseling from Department of
Health, Education, and Welfare in Washington D.C. on 1978. Farifteh moved to Iran for several years and returned to continued her career in counseling in Toronto, Canada. In 2000, Farifteh earned a diploma in Advanced Counseling including crisis, grief and trauma counseling. She currently counsels traumatized clients, including victims of sexual assault, victims of war and victims violence. In 2012 she registered her private business, Relief Counseling Services, in Reston Virginia.
