Catherine Sameh is Assistant Professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies at University of California, Irvine. Her research interests include Iranian feminism; human rights; transnational feminisms; gender and social movements in the Middle East and Muslim world; Islam; Islamophobia; and women of color feminisms. She is completing her book manuscript, Gendering Reform, Networking Feminism: Women’s Rights Activism in Iran and the Diaspora.
