Biography

Behrad Mahdi is a Principal at Censeo Consulting Group where he specializes in the field of organizational effectiveness, cost reduction, and program implementation. Behrad has led multiple initiatives across the Federal government focused on organizational design analysis, supply market analysis, activity-based cost analysis, performance management, technology strategy, and business case assessment. He has successfully led cost reduction and organizational design initiatives, having identified over $200M+ of savings for Federal and DOD clients, including the General Services Administration, the Department of Navy, Department of State, and the Air Force.
Behrad also has substantial experience in change management and strategic communications for public sector organizations.
Behrad Mahdi is a Principal within Censeo Consulting Group’s U.S. Federal government consulting practice. Prior to Censeo, he served as an External Affairs and Development Director for City Year Columbia, South Carolina. Behrad’s political experience includes operative roles in the California Democratic Party’s 2002 Coordinated Campaign, 2004 Democratic National Convention Host Committee, and a successful re-election campaign for Massachusetts State Representative Alice Wolf (25th-Middlesex).
Behrad was born and raised in the Midwest. He received his B.A. in Mathematics and Politics from Oberlin College (2004), an MBA from Harvard Business School (2010), and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School (2010).
