Azar Moayeri is the founder and CFO of Parissa Labs based in Vancouver, Canada. Parissa Labs manufactures and markets Parissa and Persian Cold Wax, the iconic staple of Iranian Goddesses the world over. Clients include Walmart, Target, Shoppers Drug Mart, Boots, London Drugs, Wholefoods and Douglas Perfumeries.
Prior to starting Parissa, Azar was the first female graduate of Chemical Engineering at University of Edinburgh. After graduation she joined the National Petrochemical Company of Iran, where soon she was the Project Manager on leading projects such as Carbon black. Leaving Iran after the revolution, Azar needed to not only find her way in a new country, but also to help support her family. With her background in Chemical Engineering and her husband’s previous experience in the salon industry, Azar was well equipped to create what is today the #1 natural hair removal products on the market. With over 30 years in the business, Parissa makes more than 15 various products servicing small drugstores and mega retail chains in Canada, the US, England, the Netherlands, Germany, Korea and China.
