Zohreh (Zoe) Ghahremani has written four books: The Comiserator is in Persian, Sky of Red Poppies is her first English novel – 2010.The Moon Daughter is scheduled for publication before the end of 2012 and her satirical memoir as a dentist, Drill, Fill & Bill, awaits its turn. She is currently editing her new novel, The Basement.

Following decades of teaching at Chicago’s Northwestern University while practicing pediatric dentistry, Zohreh moved to California in 2000 to be a full-time writer. She lives in San Diego with her husband Gary and close to their three children. Her work has won several awards, including first place in California Stories 2005, San Diego Book Awards 2004, first place at the SBWC and more. Over a hundred of her articles have appeared in magazines in the US. Sky of Red Poppies was a finalist in SDBA and is a 2012 One Book, One San Diego.

Zohreh is a Board member of San Diego Writers, Ink, a member of Iranian-American Writer’s Association and the San Diego Writing Women. She is a columnist for Zan Magazine.

A lifelong poet/writer, Zoe also enjoys painting and has held several shows around California.
