Shoreen Maghame is a senior vice president in the Los Angeles office of Edelman. At Edelman, Ms. Maghame provides strategic counsel, media training, media relations, executive positioning and crisis support to a variety of clients, from Fortune 50 companies to startups. Ms. Maghame is often called on for media, presentation and message training for Edelman clients to prepare them for interviews, crisis management, speeches, financial meetings and other events. Ms. Maghame has worked to prepare individuals from Fortune 50 C-suite executives to celebrities. She is able to share her insights from her tenure as a former award-winning broadcast and print journalist in helping prepare spokespeople to face public scrutiny. In addition to speaker training, Ms. Maghame has proven capabilities in partnering with and supporting C-suite executives in diverse communications scenarios, including signature stories, financial communications and message development. At Edelman, Ms. Maghame has also been called on for crisis and issues management work that includes a heavy media emphasis on some of the agency’s largest accounts, including Microsoft, Starbucks, Shell and Mattel. Ms. Maghame has wide and deep relationships with members of the media. Her work includes strategic placements for clients in, among other outlets, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, 60 Minutes, Los Angeles Times, CBS News, New York Times, USA Today, The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNBC and others. Prior to joining Edelman, Ms. Maghame worked at Sitrick and Company, where she was responsible for internal and external crisis consulting on highly sensitive corporate, institutional and personnel issues for wide-ranging clients and individuals. Ms. Maghame spent several years as a reporter at print and broadcast media outlets, including on-air reporting at ABC News and CBS News. Shoreen is the recipient of two Emmy awards and a pair of Golden Mike awards.
