Biography | Attorney Mahsa Khanbabai has dedicated her legal career to immigration and naturalization issues, representing individual, nonprofit, educational and business clients. A significant part of her practice is devoted to assisting foreign dental graduates seeking work visas and international medical graduates seeking J-1 Waivers and green cards. Her desire to help international medical graduates stems from her father’s experiences in the U.S. as a young medical resident from Iran. Attorney Khanbabai has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association for over 10 years and is a frequent lecturer on immigration issues. She writes an annual article on international medical graduates and the J-1 Waiver process for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education publication on Immigration Law. An avid supporter of her community, she served as a Board Member of Wilbraham and Monson Academy, her alma mater and was formerly a member of the Massachusetts Governor’s Advisory Council on Refugees and Immigrants. Attorney Khanbabai graduated cum laude from Albany Law School in 1998, and was a member of The Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. Born in Iran, and raised in Western Massachusetts, Attorney Khanbabai is married with 4 children. Her husband Soheil Hanjani, is the Chair of OBGyn as well as the Robotic Committee at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA. |
