Sahar Esfahani is a clinical psychologist at the Chicago CBT Center, a private practice based in Chicago IL. She completed her pre- and postdoctoral training in psychology in the San Francisco Bay Area where she specialized in treating trauma across the lifespan. Her clinical and research training settings include: Stanford University, Palo Alto VA Hospital, Northern CA VA Hospital and the San Francisco VA Hospital/UCSF. Across settings she treated individuals seeking help coping with various anxiety and depressive disorders. She focused particularly on co-occurring trauma and addictions. Her research interests are in motivational enhancement, early interventions following stressful events, and web-based approach to mental health. Sahar was born in Shiraz, Iran and raised in upstate NY, prior to moving to Chicago and San Francisco.
