Shabnam Rezaei is the co-founder of Big Bad Boo andOznoz.com. Oznoz provides “bilingual stuff for kids” including cartoons and books in nine languages, including Sesame Street in Persian, French, German, and Chinese. Shabnam produced Babak & Friends – A First Norooz”, a holiday special starring Shohreh Aghdashloo, Parviz Sayyad, Ali Pourtash and Catherine Bell. She also co-created the PBS series Mixed Nutzand Teletoon's hit series 1001 Nights, nominated for 6 LEOs. Shabnam started her career in financial software implementing Capital Markets solutions to Fortune 500’s such as Bank of America, ING and JP Morgan. She has held managerial positions at EXIS and Deloitte & Touche in New York and London. Prior to starting Oznoz, she was the Head of Professional Services for Misys’s Treasury and Capital Markets. Shabnam started PersianMirror.com, a magazine for Iranian culture. She has received Vancouver’s 40 Under 40, Canada’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, and Ernst & Young’s Winning Women Award. Shabnam was born in Iran and grew up in Austria. She speaks English, German, Persian, French, and Spanish. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science and B.A. in German Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from NYU Stern.
