Bernstein Global Wealth Management Hosts IAWF NYC Young Professional Board’s First Event

--New York, New York --The New York Chapter of IAWF, together with their Young Professional Board (YPB), held its first event in New York on Tuesday May 6 by partnering with Bernstein Global Wealth Management to provide a financial planning workshop for the young professionals of our community.

Jeyran Ghara, who works at Bernstein, spearheaded this initiative together with the amazing help and support of Negin Baradari of the YP Board. Created as an exclusive event specifically to support the community of young Iranian professionals in the New York region, a group of 30 young professionals participated in the two hour workshop where the Bernstein team provided an informative presentation on the basics of investing and how to best get one’s self on the path toward financial stability. The workshop, combined with fun interactive exercises and professional networking tips, were very well received by the captive young professionals in attendance.

Maria Afsharian, a member of IAWF’s NY committee, further notes, “After the presentation, it was a joy to watch the attendees networking with those they hadn’t known before the event. I got the feeling there were a lot of lasting friendships and valuable connections being created before my eyes. In fact, several of them who just met were still in the lobby deep in conversation way after the event was over.”
